Fifth Chronos Colloquium

The Chronos Colloquium takes place every two years and is entirely devoted to the semantics and syntax of tense, aspect and modality. The fifth Chronos colloquium will take place at Groningen University from 19 to 21 June 2002, Groningen, the Netherlands.
The main theme of the colloquium will be 'Discourse interpretation rules and sentence meaning', but all other papers dealing with tense, aspect and modality are equally welcome.
Please send an abstract of your paper (maximum 1 page) to j.p.vet@let.rug.nl before the 1st of March 2002. The papers to be read at the colloquium will be selected on the basis of the abstracts by the scientific committee (consisting of the invited speakers and the organizing committee).

The fee for the colloquium is 60 euros (when paid in advance), 65 euros when paid at the beginning of the colloquium. Methods of payment will be indicated as soon as possible. All the participants will receive a free copy the proceedings of the Fourth Chronos Colloquium (Nice 2000).

The languages of the colloquium are English and French.

Transportation
Groningen can easily be reached by train from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The trip takes about 2,5 hours. There is a direct connection from Schiphol to Groningen every hour.

Unfortunately we are not able to make hotel reservations for you. You can make reservation via the tourist office or directly at the hotels. We recommend to make your reservations as soon as possible.
