LUCIENNE CLAUDETE ESPÍNDOLA: "NÉ", (EU) "ACHO" (QUE): ARGUMENTATIVE MARKERS OF THE SPOKEN TEXT IN BRAZIL
In this study, the argumentative functioning of the markers "né" and (eu) "acho" (que) in interviews is the subject of investigation.
To carry out this task, two theories served as theoretical guidelines: a) Analysis of Conversation (AC), an ethno-methodological tool, as a support for understanding the structure and functioning of the spoken text, specifically regarding the use of the above-mentioned markers; b) the "Topoi" Theory - current version - whose function is to provide a theoretical grounding for the investigations concerning the argumentative function of these markers. Having laid the theoretical fundation, the investigation itself began - describing all the occurrences of the markers "né" and (eu) "acho" (que), identifying their textual-interactive functions, focusing on the argumentative ones.
The results confirm the basic hypothesis of this study: the markers "né" and (eu) "acho" (que) are multifunctional in many occurrences - in addition to their connective function in the spoken text, which is predominantly argumentative.
